About Junior Eurovision Song Contest

Junior Eurovision Song Contest

The Junior Eurovision Song Contest (JESC) is a competition organized by European Broadcasting Union (EBU), similar to the Eurovision Song Contest (ESC), but for children aged between 9 and 14 years.

The Junior Eurovision Song Contest story began in 2002 after the MGP Nordic was held, which was a competition between televisions in three Scandinavian countries (Denmark, Norway and Sweden).

The Danish Razz won the "Kickflipper" festival.
After the success of this festival, EBU decided to organize the Junior Eurovision Song Contest, which took place for the first time in Copenhagen on 15 November 2003...

Belarus, Russia and Malta have each won the Contest twice.
Poland won the 2018 Junior Eurovision Song Contest and 2019, this makes it the first country to win two times in a row.
Georgia won the Junior Eurovision Song Contest a record 3 times in total (2008, 2011 and 2016).

Some singers have graduated from Junior Eurovision Song Contest to the Eurovision Song Contest including the Tolmachevy Sisters (Russia JESC 2006, ESC 2014) and OG3NE (The Netherlands JESC 2007, ESC 2017)...
