1950  European Broadcasting Union (EDU) Formation

1956  1st edition of the Eurovision Song Contest with 7 countries (Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, Luxembourg, Switzerland and The Netherlands). Lys Assia was the first winner of the ESC for Switzerland.

1957  Austria, Denmark and United Kingdom participate for the first time in the Eurovision Song Contest.

1958  Sweden participate for the first time in the ESC.

1959  Monaco participate for the first time in the Eurovision Song Contest.

1960  Norway participate for the first time in the ESC.

1961  Finland, Spain and Yugoslavia participate for the first time in the Eurovision Song Contest.

1964  Portugal participate for the first time in the ESC.

1965  10th anniversary of the Eurovision Song Contest. Ireland participate for the first time in the ESC. 18 countries already compete in the Eurovision Song Contest.

1969  For the first time in the history of the Eurovision Song Contest there were 4 winners: France, Spain, The Netherlands and United Kingdom.

1971  Malta participate for the first time in the Eurovision Song Contest.

1973  Israel participate for the first time in the ESC.

1974  Greece participate for the first time in the Eurovision Song Contest.

1975  20th anniversary of the Eurovision Song Contest. Turkey participate for the first time in the ESC. 22 countries already compete in the Eurovision Song Contest.

1980  Morocco participate for the first time in the Eurovision Song Contest. It was the only time he participated in the ESC.

1981  Cyprus participate for the first time in the Eurovision Song Contest.

1982  Eurovision Young Musicians (1st edition).

1985  30th anniversary of the Eurovision Song Contest. Iceland participate for the first time in the Eurovision Song Contest. 25 countries already compete in the Eurovision Song Contest. Eurovision Young Dancers (1st edition).

1987  Johnny Logan (Ireland) wins the Eurovision Song Contest for the second time.

1992  Yugoslavia's last participation in the Eurovision Song Contest.

1993  Bosnia & Herzegovina, Croatia and Slovenia participate for the first time in the Eurovision Song Contest.

1994  Estonia, Hungary, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, Russia and Slovakia participate for the first time in the Eurovision Song Contest.

1995  40th anniversary of the Eurovision Song Contest. 35 countries already compete in the Eurovision Song Contest.

1998  North Macedonia participate for the first time in the Eurovision Song Contest.

2000  Latvia participate for the first time in the ESC.

2003  Ukraine participate for the first time in the Eurovision Song Contest. Junior Eurovision Song Contest (1st edition).

2004  Albania, Andorra, Belarus and Serbia & Montenegro participate for the first time in the Eurovision Song Contest. For the first time in the history of the Eurovision Song Contest, a selection semi-final was implemented for the ESC grand final.

2005  50th anniversary of the Eurovision Song Contest. Bulgaria and Moldava participate for the first time in the ESC. 44 countries already compete in the Eurovision Song Contest.

2006  Serbia & Montenegro's last participation in the Eurovision Song Contest.

2007  Armenia, Czech Republic and Georgia participate for the first time in the ESC. Serbia and Montenegro participate for the first time as independent countries in the Eurovision Song Contest.

2008  For the first time in the history of the Eurovision Song Contest, two Semi-Finals were held to decide which 25 countries would be represented in the Final. Azerbaijan and San Marino participate for the first time in the ESC. 51 countries already compete in the Eurovision Song Contest.

2010  The EurovisionFamily.com was born...

2015  60th anniversary of the Eurovision Song Contest. In order to mark the 60th edition of the Eurovision Song Contest, Australia was invited to take part in the Grand Final. 52 countries already compete in the Eurovision Song Contest.

2017  Eurovision Choir (1st edition). The Eurovision ASIA Song Contest is announced.

2020  The Eurovision Song Contest 2020 due to the pandemic situation caused by COVID-19 was cancelled.

2021  The American Song Contest (1st edition).

2023  Eurovision Song Contest Canada.
